NYC what is it about you?

I just recently went to see a middle school version of Annie, and that song “NYC, what is it about you?” was playing.  That song and I go back years when I danced on cruise ships.  There were four male dancers that came out and did a jazz dance to it, it was the opener of our Broadway show on the SS NORWAY.  That song is awesome, maybe because that’s exactly how I feel about NYC.  My husband and I are so fortunate to attend a wedding in NYC at the end of this month, one of my best friends from the MS Dreamward is getting married to his best friend and long-time partner.  I can’t wait to go back!!!  I am so impressed with the city, the energy is thrilling, full of music and dancing.  I’ve always been in love with the city.  I tried living there, it’s hard and for those who live there… cheers.  My cousin lives in the Upper West Side and I think has been there for 10 years.  I am so impressed with her, she had a desire to dance, and although that is not her full-time profession, she goes to class regularly and auditions.  Nothing stops Danyelle!!!  We are staying at her apartment while we are there.  It’s going to be good to be surrounded by so much energy, as winter on our Finger Lake is quiet.  LIFE IS GOOD, even throughout all of the pain me and my family have suffered in the past, we keep pushing along, God only knows.  I just read some inspirational article that I received through my Mary Kay Director, it says “Our worst fear is Not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure, It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.”  This has been so true for me for the past several years… Finally, NO MORE 🙂
