Father/Daughter Dance for Atlanta Wedding

I had the honor of choreographing a Father/Daughter dance for an absolutely stunning wedding in Atlanta, Georgia.  Larry Goolsby (Father) has been a student of mine for close to 4 years now.  Since I left the studio I was teaching at and he was attending, we never lost touch.  Although he took a break from ballroom dancing with me, my hubby and I would invite him over to our house once a year.  He’s the type of student a dance teacher dreams of having, hard-working and always willing to learn the newest step.  Several months ago, I received an email from him saying his daughter, Lisa, was getting married.  And there you have it, Larry was coming to me once a week for an hour to learn a dance that he would then teach her quickly the couple days in Atlanta prior to the wedding.  Lisa (a professional singer) picked up the routine in a matter of hours, and they performed their Father/Daughter dance – a cha cha to The Temptations song, My Girl.  Here’s some pics:
